Old friends reunited…

We were very young when we lived next to Wendy, we were both just starting out really. Both of us with our oldest the same age, so we had lots in common and we would hang at each other’s house almost everyday; sharing coffee, bible studies, playing games, hanging with the kids, you name it we did it. We even got adventurous one spring and decided we wanted some nice grass for our kids to play on so we tore up the entire backyard and replanted! Looking back on it, I don’t know what we were thinking! Fun times for sure!

Well life happened and we both went our separate ways, and it wasn’t until recently through Facebook that we reconnected. We were quite honored when Wendy wanted us to do her family photos, so we headed up to Bellevue on what was a beautiful December morning for the shoot. We did their photos at the Hyatt Regency in Bellevue, a place that is special to them, as this is where Wendy and Clint come quite often for their anniversary get away. They love the feel and decor of the hotel so much, they thought what better place than this!

Lots and lots of different types of spots for shooting and we captured some great pics of them and the kids. Not only was it a great family shoot, but a great reunion while we laughed and remembered stories of the past.

The Hastie’s….You can’t say enough about this family!! We first met them when our son Derrick and their youngest Cole were in second grade, and started playing football together. Not only did we spend time on the football field with them, but they were the ones to help us on our spiritual path and reconnecting with the Lord.

They are a family who are a real example of Christians in every aspect of the word, and are just real people, going through real stuff, while keeping God first and for most in their lives.

When we were asked to shoot their family photos, first I have to say what a honor, but also if I am being honest….I was really quite nervous! It is hardest to shoot for those closest to you, because you put so much pressure on yourself to make sure you do a great job. It really ended up being so much fun and relaxing, plus the pictures couldn’t have turned out better!! Real examples of who they are. Proud to call them friends and honored to have been chosen to capture some memories for them.
