Making something out of nothing!

Well as we all know the weather in Washington can sometimes get us down, especially this year. Well we were determined to shoot Sara and Mike’s engagement pictures this last weekend, and we did! Despite the wind and periods of rain, we got some really great shots! These two were naturals and really easy to shoot.

We went downtown Olympia, by the water, and by Capital Lake, for some great relaxed portraits of the two of them just loving each other!  Looking forward to their Labor Day Weekend Wedding!!

The Hastie’s….You can’t say enough about this family!! We first met them when our son Derrick and their youngest Cole were in second grade, and started playing football together. Not only did we spend time on the football field with them, but they were the ones to help us on our spiritual path and reconnecting with the Lord.

They are a family who are a real example of Christians in every aspect of the word, and are just real people, going through real stuff, while keeping God first and for most in their lives.

When we were asked to shoot their family photos, first I have to say what a honor, but also if I am being honest….I was really quite nervous! It is hardest to shoot for those closest to you, because you put so much pressure on yourself to make sure you do a great job. It really ended up being so much fun and relaxing, plus the pictures couldn’t have turned out better!! Real examples of who they are. Proud to call them friends and honored to have been chosen to capture some memories for them.
