Mike and Sara’s wedding day was not only beautiful, but unique.

The ceremony was held at Olympia Golf and Country Club, in Olympia, WA. With it’s gorgeous views of Mt Rainer and the Puget Sound at it’s backdoor, who could ask for more!

The bridal party got ready for the day at The Phenix Inn , downtown Olympia. From there it was off to what we like to think is our “secret” location; a small dock tucked away on Capital Lake. This is where we did Mike and Sara’s first look. Then a skip over to Heritage Park for some fun pics with the bridal party.

There were some very cool things incorporated into their wedding like; have you ever seen a unity box? Well I hadn’t, it’s a box filled with things that the couple puts in, then locked up like a treasure box, to be opened again on a future anniversary. So cool!! Also, the officiant asked the guests to give advice during the actual ceremony, love that, as we need all the advice we can get in this adventure.

A few remaining shots at the end of the evening, on the golf course, it’s self, with a fabulous sunset against Mt Rainier, it really doesn’t get much better than that!!

A Fun Afternoon in Seattle!

Tyler proposed to Nicole at the Space Needle, so we figured what a better place for engagement photos but Seattle! We hopped on the monorail at Westlake and rode over to Seattle Center, where we got some great shots at the EMP (Experience Music Project) and around the grounds itself.

Our next stop was over to Pike Place Market to capture these super cute shots of the two of them!

After a few shots on the waterfront, Ivar’s was in order for dinner and drinks. Then back to the waterfront for a few last photos. We look forward to sharing in their Hawaii wedding next September!!

Centralia WA Wedding | Andy & Erin

September 22nd, 2011

Andy and Erin’s wedding, which was held at The Aerie Ballroom, in Centrailia, was full of some things that we have never experienced before; your dog as your ring bearer, some wedding party photos on motorcycles (thanks to Powersports Northwest), and lots of Swiss music!! Andy and Erin’s wedding, which was held at The Aerie Ballroom, in Centrailia, was full of some things that we have never experienced before; your dog as your ring bearer, some wedding party photos on motorcycles (thanks to Powersports Northwest), and lots of Swiss music!! This being said, all of that equals some great photos and so much fun, we could hardly stand it.

Their wedding was super simple, yet really fun and relaxed. The wedding party were troopers too, we walked around downtown Centrailia to get some really cool shots!

For a few last shots; we stole Andy and Erin away from the party, and went to a corn field about 10 minutes away, and in our driving realized that we had lived right next to Andy’s parents for several years and didn’t even know it!! Yet another example of how small the world is and how people cross paths in life not by chance, but by design.

Finally got some rest in today. Visited what Dannielle calls her new home, San Diego State University.

Had lunch at a great Mexican restaurant called Las Pinatas.

Visited a mission in Old Town, checked out the downtown area, and went to Qualcomm Stadium, where the Chargers were practicing. Derrick would have loved this, got some good pics for him though.

Also got some beach time in at Ocean Beach, where Taylor found some great shells and dug up a clam with her bare hands. She was pretty proud of herself.

Highlight of the day had to be Pinkberry though. Salted carmel…yum!!

Day 3 of the college road trip

Today brought us some fun at Pismo Beach, where the girls played in the water a bit and we grabbed some crepes.

Then we were off to another long drive, only 7 hours this time (could have used a local tip about a better time to drive), but are glad to be able to relax for a couple of days now in San Diego.

Day 1 & 2 of the college road trip

Day 1: Way too many hours of driving!! Left WA at 5:30 am and reached Oakland, CA at 8:30pm. Stopped for lunch at In and Out Burgers, Aric’s favorite, and not to be the last stop at one on our journeys. By the time we reached Oakland we were so tired, we ordered some Dominos and crashed!!

Day 2 was a a lot more eventful; spent what turned out to be the whole day in San Francisco. We saw the AT&T Center home of the Giants. Then parked and walked 3 miles down to Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 39. Found the coolest shop called Season’s, they had everything for every holiday. The absolute best Christmas decorations ever! I feel in love with all the great Winnie The Pooh stuff!
Grabbed some lunch on the pier and headed out to Pebble Beach, Aric was able to grab a few sunset pics, and they gave him a bag tag.

Our final destination of the day was San Luis Obispo, where it was late and again we crashed!! Plenty of pics posted tomorrow from here…we can’t wait to show off this cute little town to the girls, and hang out at Pismo Beach!

These are the products that we believe help us deliver the best to our clients.

First and foremost Madera wedding books are by far our best friend, these books bring the whole wedding day together in one beautifully bound book, that can be viewed for generations to come. We did a whole blog post on Madera Books Here.

Moo Cards are the cutest little cards, and different too. We use these for our business cards while we are playing the slide show during the wedding reception. Their packaging is fantastic too, cute little boxes each with a different color inside.

We use H-B Photo Packaging exclusively for our packaging to deliver their custom prints. They have the greatest colors to choose from and the possibilities are endless with these guys. We even have our logo imprinted right on to them! H-B has given us a discount code to share with all of our great readers. You can use the code: aricbecker on everything on their site for 10% off, the code is good till August 1st so act fast. Just add the code when checking out.

For our business cards we use Plasma Design, we can’t say enough about these guys, and how many compliments we get on our cards. They just add another element to our value. Their customer service is top notch, and they will even help with your design for free.

Last, but certainly not least, White House Custom Colour. We use these guys for all of our DVD Cases(for now, DVD’s might become a thing of the past. More on this coming later), they allow you to customize the cases with a photo. This has been a WOW factor every time we hand one to a client. We also use them for all of our printing needs, their customer service and quality of products are out of this world! You can check out White House for free and they will send 5 8×10 prints so you can see the awesome quality.

These pictures are from their site.

Vendors we can’t get enough of!

Shooting a wedding is sort of like being a parent, in that you have eyes and ears everywhere throughout the day, you over hear conversations, you see the behind the scenes stuff, you are watching how the whole day is coming together and how all the vendors are making that possible for the bride and groom.

We have some favorite vendors that we have worked with, that are particularly wonderful, not only in the product they deliver, but also in the relationship they put forth with the client and other vendors.

Venues:

We love, love, love Chambers Bay Golf Course, in University Place, WA,  not only are they a fabulous venue, but also provide some mighty great food too!

Of course our favorite has to be Lanikuhonua, on Oahu in Hawaii. Translated it means “where Heaven meets the Earth”, and they are not kidding!  A beautiful place for a wedding, party, or really any occasion.

Cakes/cupcakes/desserts:  Burning Cupcakes, out of Tacoma, WA, is the best by far. Not only are the displays fantastic, but the desserts are out of this world!

Music/DJ services: Music De-lite, out of Olympia, WA, are not only very professional, but also super fun, and keep the party rolling!

Officiant: If you are looking for the non traditional, knows how to crack a joke and loosen people up kind of person to perform your ceremony, Jeremy is your guy!

We look forward to working with these vendors and other equally great ones in the future.
